From the first time flying on campus with classmates, to comfortably moving over water and wild nature, here are some of the captured moments.

Tello Footage Project

The result of raw footage, photos, multiple audio recording attempts, practicing flying and recording, and learning to edit.

Practicing flying and getting comfortable with flying outside, there was a pickup in wind at the end which made it too difficult to fly the drone, so an emergency landing was made in the end.
Carefully navigating close to these firs was a challenge, and ended in a branch collision that isn’t shown in this footage. But it was an important step in learning to fly carefully next to obstacles.

The Process.

From building a foundation of understanding what it means to fly a drone, and obtaining the knowledge of the rules and regulations, safe flying guidelines, uses and benefits of drones to the general public, as well as commercial uses. The hands on experience of getting to fly and use a drone, let me to try out something completely new. And gaining the skills, however in process they are, of navigating a drone, getting footage, and using it, has been a challenge. But any new experiences are hard at first, but you improve over time and practice. I’m thankful that I got to challenge myself, grow a larger understanding of the world around me, and enjoy new experiences.
